Nyla Linklater
Administration Professional
My name is Nyla Linklater, I'm originally from the United States and moved to Canada in 1986. Besides Alberta, I've been to BC, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, and plan to visit all the provinces at some point in the future. We keep busy with our two chocolate Labrador retrievers.
My first real job was in the fast-food industry. I managed an Orange Julius in Edmonton and learned how to make the drinks everyone loved. I also did all the inventory and books the "old fashioned" way. Additionally, I used to make pastries and cinnamon buns when I worked at a pastry shop at Kingsway Mall. Since then, I’ve met some great people, learned in a variety of different ways, and found I like to do all sorts of tasks. I’ve also learned that staying in my comfort zone means I may miss an opportunity to improve myself.
